Our Signature Anti-Ageing Treatments
Where Beauty Meets Wellness
Facial Gua Sha
I have added Facial Gua Sha to my holistic offering as it helps you to naturally age well and provides many benefits for both your physical and mental health
It is based on the ancient healing principles of Chinese Medicine and Stone Medicine
The technique affects not only how you look, by visibly lifting and sculpting the facial structure, but supports your emotional wellbeing
The stimulation of tiny blood vessels in the skin delivers many profound health benefits, releasing tight muscles and fascia
Working across ten of the reflexology zones in the body promotes internal balance and wellbeing
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is an ancient Indian healing therapy which focuses on massage to the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck face and scalp
It creates a sense of calm and wellbeing in the body
Facial Gua Sha (“Gwah Sha”) is a gentle anti-ageing massage using hand-crafted healing stones and facial oils.
Responsibly sourced stone crystals are used to glide over the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Benefits of gua sha…. here’s my favourites
- the cheeks, jawline and eyelids are lifted and sculpted
- the action of collagen and elastin in the skin is enhanced
- working over the facial reflexology points helps to promote deep relaxation in the mind and body
- the slow movement across the face helps to release the fascia (” fasha” ) where many of our emotions are held
- the action of sweeping across the skin increases lymphatic drainage which assists the immune response in the body and reduces congestion
For optimal results a course of six or twelve weekly treatments ( one week apart) is recommended
It is advisable not to apply product with retinol or vitamin C in the twenty four hour period before the treatment and at least three hours afterwards as this can cause irritation and sensitivity in the skin
The treatment is not suitable if,
you have botox or fillers
you have had a recent facelift ( within six months)
very thin skin that bruises easily or medication that can cause the skin to bruise
you are pregnant
you are diabetic
you have cancer, including skin cancer
you have certain skin conditions such as rosacea, severe acne, herpes , shingles, sunburn , eczema/ psoriasis
Benefits of indian head massage…. here’s my favourites
The efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic is improved
The disposal of toxins is boosted
There is increased oxygen uptake in the tissues
Provides pain relief from
eye strain,
aching jaw from grinding or clenching of the teeth and
migraine and tension headaches
The treatment provides a sense of peace and calmness and lifts feelings of depression and mental fatigue
As for many holistic therapies, with certain types of conditions we may need to modify your treatment based upon advice from your primary
health care provider
A safe treatment plan that meets your needs can then be agreed in advance
